Job summary

The Building People seeks a Post Award Manager to oversee post-award execution for leased space projects, guiding design, construction, and occupancy activities to ensure compliance with lease requirements and schedules.

You will coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, lessors, design professionals, contractors, and government representatives to support occupancy from lease award through completion.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills to manage post-award build-out activities.
• Minimum of three years supporting post-award build-out, design, and delivery for leased space projects.
• Ability to review project documentation, track schedules, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage post-lease award activities related to design, construction, and delivery of customer agency space per GSA lease requirements and schedules.
• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, lessors, design professionals, contractors, and agency representatives to support occupancy from lease award.
• Review drawings and construction documentation to confirm conformance with shell and TI requirements and lease terms.
• Monitor project schedules, milestones, and deliverables; identify risks and communicate corrective actions.
• Support review of pricing proposals and cost documentation to ensure lease compliance and cost controls.
• Review and manage tenant improvement change orders and other project modifications per GSA processes.
• Track project status, approvals, action items, and close-out readiness.
• Participate in meetings, site visits, inspections, and punch list activities to verify progress and document deficiencies.
• Assist with pre-occupancy inspections, punch lists, and turnover documentation.
• Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost savings from design through occupancy.
