Overview
We are seeking a Post Anesthesia Care Nurse RN at Providence Medical Center.
Shift's Available: Days
Employment Type: Part-Time
Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesdays 8:00am-4:30pm (8-hour shift)
On Call Requirement: Weekday Call and One (1) Weekend per month

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
- Promotes and demonstrates vision, mission and values of the organization.
- Reviews and implements physician orders and keeps physicians informed of patient's status. Accurately records and/or processes orders in a timely manner.
- Implements care in a safe, knowledgeable, skillful, consistent and continuous manner, using nursing skills specific to the needs of the patient recovering from anesthesia and/or invasive surgical procedures.
- Documents evidence of nursing care on the patient's medical record, based upon the nursing process in a legible, concise, timely and complete manner.
- Uses two patient identifiers consistently when accepting patients, administering medicating, drawing labs or performing procedures on a patient.
- Does not use unacceptable abbreviations in documentation and uses read back on all telephone orders. Reviews and transcribes all telephone orders. Follows telephone read back policy. Monitors authentication and validation of telephone orders within 48 hours by the physician.
- Follows policies and procedures regarding Telephone/Verbal orders and Critical Values consistently.

Qualifications
Education and Work Experience
- current and valid state RN License
- current BLS (AHA or ARC) certificate upon hire and maintain current
- ACLS (AHA or ARC) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- PALS (AHA or ARC) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- previous Critical Care or PACU experience or minimum of one year on the job training
- Critical Care RN (CCRN) preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
