Job summary

Fort Zumwalt R-II School District in Missouri is seeking an Out-of-District Coach to provide group and individual coaching aligned with Positive Coaching principles.

The role involves managing student behavior, modeling proper social skills, supervising students in classrooms and on the playground, organizing activities, reporting incidents, and responding to emergencies under district guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have completed at least 60 college credit hours.
• Experience in coaching is required.
• Clearances: Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance, Family Care Registry Clearance

Responsibilities

• Manages student behavior for the purpose of providing a safe and optimal coaching and learning environment.
• Models conversation, manners, cleanup activities, listening skills, etc. for the purpose of demonstrating appropriate social and interpersonal behavior.
• Monitors students in a variety of educational environments (e.g. classroom, playground, field trips, etc.) for the purpose of providing a safe and positive coaching and learning environment.
• Organizes age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities for the purpose of ensuring student participation in coaching activities.
• Reports incidents (e.g. fights, suspected child abuse, suspected substance abuse, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining the personal safety of students, providing a positive coaching and learning environment and adhering to district and school policies.
• Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns and/or directing to appropriate personnel for resolution.
• Other Functions: Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
