Job summary

Hawthorne Elementary, part of the Sioux Falls School District, seeks a Behavior Facilitator to support students with behavioral needs and promote positive learning environments. You will collaborate with building staff, implement individualized strategies, and document progress for reintegration.

This role requires at least two years of post-high school education and one year of interpersonal work experience, plus computer use for word processing and data entry.

Qualifications

• Two years post high school education required.
• Experience with behavior management and student support.
• Ability to use a computer for word processing and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with staff to create positive learning environments.
• Support students to manage behavior with individualized plans.
• Document student progress on behavior and achievement goals.
• Conduct observations and collect documentation for referrals and reintegration.
• Provide teachers and parents with progress reports as directed by the case manager.
• Assist with implementing behavior intervention strategies.
• Facilitate transitions and support home-school communication as needed.
• Participate in professional development and district initiatives.
