Job summary

RNDC in Anchorage, AK is seeking an organized Merchandising/Operations Manager to lead the Merchandising team and collaborate with Sales to execute merchandising and Point of Sale programs.

The role supervises 10–15 employees, hires and trains staff, manages inventory controls, and conducts market visits to drive programs. Requires HS diploma/GED, valid driver’s license, and ability to meet insurance standards, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED; 2–5 years related experience in retail, grocery or restaurant; supervisory/training experience preferred.
• Ability to meet vehicle insurance requirements and Alaska ABC license as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Review industry information for merchandising concepts and opportunities.
• Hire, train, schedule and develop the merchandising team through market work and feedback.
• Design and coordinate merchandising and Point of Sale programs with sales and marketing.
• Monitor data entry and inventory accounting to maintain controls and achieve objectives.
• Oversee merchandising materials purchasing and align with customer accounts to implement plans.
• Prepare and maintain required paperwork, reports and records.
• Manage 10–15 non-exempt employees and possibly one exempt supervisor, including interviewing, hiring, training, and performance management.
• Possess and operate a motor vehicle to access customer accounts for delivery and promotion.
