Job summary

Lango is seeking fluent Portuguese-English interpreters for in-person appointments in Cincinnati, OH. You will work as an independent contractor providing interpreting services across medical, educational, social, and legal settings.

Candidates must meet legal work requirements, pass language testing if needed, and be able to attend mainly in-person appointments; training and background checks may apply. Remote work is occasionally available.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent bilingual in English and Portuguese.
• Must have US i-9 work authorization.
• Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Willing to provide a background check and drug test.
• Vaccination records may be required for medical interpreting.
• Must attend in-person appointments primarily.
• Professional training/experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide interpreting services as independent contractor.
• Serve in-person appointments across medical, educational, social, and legal settings.
• Help clients access services by facilitating communication.
