Job summary

Acclaim Technical Services in Reston, VA is seeking an Expert Portuguese Instructor to support a government agency, providing language instruction, translation, transcription, and interpretation services. The role involves 40 hours per week, with roughly 20 hours teaching and 20 hours on lesson development, student assessment, and testing.

Applicants must have 5 years of adult-level instruction within the last 5 years and an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or Language preferred.

Responsibilities

Work 40 hours a week spending approximately 20 hours of teaching and 20 hours of lesson development, student assessment and testing.
Work under the direction of experienced senior trained instructors.
Instructors are required to complete specific sponsor training on teaching mission-focused foreign language skills and conducting foreign language testing in order to become certified according to Sponsor standards.
