A mission-driven organization is seeking a dedicated Portuguese Community Interpreter to provide onsite and remote interpretation for multilingual students and families in the Vancouver WA and Portland OR area. The ideal candidate will have significant interpreting experience, be native-level fluent in Spanish, and be familiar with video platforms. This role involves ensuring meaningful access for families during events such as IEP meetings and conferences, while adhering to confidentiality and professional ethics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of interpreting experience required.
• Native-level fluency in Spanish is mandatory.
• Experience with K-12 educational settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide culturally appropriate interpretation during meetings.
• Deliver services both in-person and via secure video platforms.
• Collaborate with educators to ensure meaningful access.
