Job summary

The American Journalism Project seeks an associate to join its new Portfolio Support team, designing capacity building resources for nonprofit local news organizations. A strong communicator with project management skills will help deliver learning opportunities and a high-quality grantee experience in a fast-paced, adaptive setting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain systems and processes for engaging with grantees, including managing support calendars and communications.
  • Identify opportunities to improve how support is delivered.
  • Assist in the execution of day-to-day activities, from drafting plans and presentations to organizing and facilitating effective team meetings.
  • Promote learning and relationship building amongst portfolio organizations.
  • Coordinate portfolio-wide communications and support services and help curate resources.
