Allianz Commercial in Chicago, IL seeks a Portfolio Analyst to support regional portfolio steering, analyze data, and turn insights into action to improve portfolio quality and profitability.

The role requires 3+ years in portfolio management, P&C experience preferred, and proficiency with Excel and Power BI. Hybrid work model offered with a competitive base salary of $90,000–$110,000 plus bonus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience assisting with portfolio management and optimizing portfolio performance.
• Property and Casualty insurance experience preferred.
• Experience identifying and driving business process improvements and organizational capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of the Portfolio Steering strategy for assigned Line(s) of Business.
• Analyze portfolio performance and provide recommendations for optimization, contributing to the forward-looking steering agenda to improve portfolio quality and profitability.
• Conduct detailed data analysis to interpret financial and portfolio information and generate comprehensive reports that provide actionable insights.
• Understand underlying trends and identify steering opportunities to support portfolio decisions.
• Challenging portfolio performance and direction by questioning assumptions and probing KPIs.
• Collaborating across stakeholders (Underwriting, Pricing, Claims, Finance, Product) to drive aligned outcomes under guidance.
• Ensuring compliance with global standards and governance frameworks, including internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
• Developing proposals for improving the Allianz Commercial Operating Framework and ensuring alignment with industry regulations.
• Identifying operational business improvement opportunities related to organization, business processes, and IT applications and supporting the creation of project proposals, including cost/benefit analysis and resource planning.
