This role focuses on developing Leasing Consultants to drive net leases, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet community needs, and achieving leasing targets. The Portfolio Sales Manager directly manages and coaches the leasing team, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and high performance. Aligned with Essex's sales leadership mission, the role emphasizes developing associates, delivering measurable results, and creating exceptional experiences for both prospects and team members.
Physical presence at the centralized sales hub is an essential function of this role to achieve success. It supports collaboration, access to company systems, and consistent execution of standardized sales processes. Regular and predictable on-site attendance at the centralized sales hub is required due to the customer-facing and revenue-impacting nature of the role. Participation in ongoing and impromptu live coaching, team meetings, and in-person1:1'sto ensure consistent skill development, compliance adherence, and sales effectiveness. This role demands availability for five days each week,including weekends.Schedule requirements may bemodified, and accommodations may be considered, where required by applicable law. Work is primarily conducted in an office setting. Requires sitting at a desk or workstation for extended periods.
