Job summary

The Healthcare Portfolio Manager – Corporate, Specialty and Government PM at Huntington National Bank will oversee a portfolio of commercial loans focused on Healthcare offices. You will underwrite complex loans, monitor risk, and manage portfolio administration in coordination with Relationship Management and other bank partners.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting and at least five years in underwriting or commercial banking.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in underwriting or a commercial banking environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis.
• Healthcare or middle-market underwriting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor a portfolio of commercial loans, identify emerging risks and maintain risk ratings.
• Portfolio administration including delinquencies, collateral exceptions and covenant compliance.
• Attend client calls with Relationship Management and other Bank partners.
• Maintain knowledge of market/industry trends and conduct research.
• Assist with training Analyst & Associate colleagues.
• Review and negotiate credit documentation with legal counsel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This position will focus on Healthcare offices. Primary responsibilities include underwriting quality, portfolio monitoring and portfolio administration for an assigned portfolio. The Associate Director will frequently collaborate with internal partners including Relationship Management, Credit Administration, Capital Markets, Treasury Management and other product partners in optimizing customer relationships.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex commercial loans in accordance with Huntington credit policies.
• Monitor a portfolio of commercial loans, proactively identifying emerging risks and escalating concerns as appropriate, and maintaining accurate risk ratings.
• Portfolio administration, including management of delinquencies, collateral exceptions, borrowing base and covenant compliance, product renewals, etc., as applicable.
• As applicable, attend client calls (virtual or in-person) with Relationship Management and other Bank partners.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market/industry trends. Conduct industry and market research using numerous resources available.
• Assist with training and/or mentoring Analyst & Associate level colleagues.
• Review and negotiate credit documentation in consultation with legal counsel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required (Finance, Accounting, or related field)
• 5 + years of experience in an underwriting or commercial banking environment

Preferred Qualifications

• High level of professionalism and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (particularly Microsoft Excel)
• Formal credit training
• Experience in the syndicated loan market
• Proficiency in S&P Capital IQ
• Healthcare or middle market underwriting experience

Compensation Range

$70,000 - $140,000 Annually

The compensation range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.
