DataAnnotation is seeking a Finance Expert to evaluate AI-built financial analyses on real corporate scenarios, check the valuation assumptions and the accounting behind them, and write judgments that teach models what defensible finance work looks like.

You’ll stress-test AI-built models, trace the reasoning to expose plugged numbers and broken drivers, and write the defensible analysis when the model falls short, ensuring clear drivers and CFO-ready conclusions.

Qualifications

• What you’ll need is professional experience in corporate finance, FP&A, or strategic finance.
• In-depth modeling: three-statement builds, DCF, and the accounting behind them.
• Excellent written English to clearly explain finance judgments.
• No degree required; focus on what you can do, not where you learned it.

Models can build a three-statement model that looks clean and still get the mechanics wrong: a balance sheet that doesn't balance, working capital that flows the wrong way, a circular reference silently zeroed out. Someone has to trace the numbers back through the logic, and that someone is you.

As a Finance Expert you'll evaluate AI-built financial analyses on real corporate scenarios, check the valuation assumptions and the accounting behind them, and write the judgments that teach models what defensible finance work looks like.

What you’ll actually do

• Stress-test AI-built models on real corporate scenarios: three-statement linkages, DCF assumptions, and the working-capital logic underneath.
• Trace the reasoning to expose plugged numbers, broken drivers, and conclusions the model's own math doesn't support.
• Write the defensible analysis when the model falls short: honest assumptions, clear drivers, and a number you'd put in front of a CFO.

Compensation

Up to $40 – $125+/hr depending on task difficulty and specialization. Many contributors add $10k–$100k+ a year; some make it their full-time income.
