  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Portfolio Management, Program Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience managing portfolio financials, departmental budgets, annual planning cycles, forecasting activities and financial reporting processes.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, cost management, vendor expenditures, and P&L reporting.
  • Proven experience leading complex initiatives independently.
  • Experience with vendor management and cross-functional collaboration within a complex environment.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and reporting dashboards (e.g., Microsoft Project, Power BI).
  • Certifications like PMP, PgMP, PMI-PBA, PMI-PMOCP or SAFe are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver executive-level presentations communicating portfolio status, financial performance, risks, strategy and recommendations.
  • Lead portfolio governance activities to ensure alignment with priorities.
  • Oversee collaboration with project and portfolio managers for reporting and delivery.
  • Manage resource allocation, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication across multiple projects.
  • Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of portfolio and department financials including annual budget and monthly forecasts.
  • Oversee vendor financial performance and review processes.
  • Define and report KPIs to evaluate portfolio health.
  • Recruit, onboard, and mentor project management talent.
  • Promote portfolio management best practices, governance standards and continuous improvement.

Job description

JM Family Enterprises is seeking a Portfolio Manager who will provide strategic oversight of portfolios while serving as a key partner in portfolio management, budgeting, forecasting and executive reporting. This role is responsible for ensuring alignment between project investments, organizational priorities and financial objectives .

They will be working closely with t echnology leadership , fi nance teams , project managers and business stakeholders. Portfolio Manager drives portfolio governance, financial transparency, risk management , and strategic decision-making process across a complex technology portfolio.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver executive-level presentations to communicate portfolio status , financial performance, risks, strategy and recommendations to business stakeholders.
  • Lead portfolio governance activities to ensure project s, programs, and investments align with business and organizational priorities.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Demonstrated experience managing portfolio financials, departmental budgets, annual planning cycles, forecasting activities and financial reporting processes.
  • Strong u nderstanding of financial concepts including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, cost management, vendor expenditures, and Profit and Loss (P&L) reporting.
  • Strong conceptual knowledge and problem-solving abilities in project/portfolio management.
  • Proven experience leading complex initiatives independently.
  • Expertise in vendor management and cross-functional colla boration within complex organizational environment .
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong coaching , consulting capabilities with e xperience managing escalated issues and guiding teams through resolution.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and reporting dashboards (e.g., Microsoft Project, Power BI, etc.).
  • Experience with Service Now Portfolio and Project Management or similar portfolio management platforms.
  • Experience using Net Suite o r similar financial management systems.
  • Professional certifications like PMP , PgMP , PMI_PBA, PMI-PMOCP or SAFe are preferred.
