Job description

Are you a methodical thinker, intellectually curious, and motivated to guide others? As a Portfolio Evaluation Analyst, you’ll apply your expertise in portfolio management and client service with your genuine passion for positively impacting clients’ financial futures.

The Opportunity:

In this role, you’ll serve as a key extension of our Investment Policy Committee (IPC), making thoughtful, customized decisions on clients’ investment strategies. Our team thoroughly evaluates each client’s unique financial circumstances to ensure their portfolios are optimally positioned for long-term investment success. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional partners—including Research, Client Service, Sales, and more—using clear, articulate communication to drive results. You’ll also have the chance to refine your ability to explain complex investment concepts by optionally hosting Client Programs sessions or working on bespoke client solutions.

The Day-to-Day:
  • Evaluate clients’ investment objectives and overall financial situation to deliver optimal asset allocation and portfolio benchmark recommendations, always placing clients’ best interests first
  • Partner closely with our Investment Counselors to help them navigate clients through complex portfolio management questions, offering support in explaining portfolio recommendations
  • Provide direction and hands-on assistance for new initiatives and ad hoc projects that advance our firm’s mission to improve the investment universe
  • Develop and review specialized, tailored solutions for clients and prospects with unique financial, tax, estate, or liquidity needs—particularly high-AUM individuals and families requiring sophisticated customization
  • Design bespoke portfolio strategies for high-net-worth clients, addressing concentrated positions, tax-efficient transitions, legacy planning, or other advanced considerations
  • Assess the suitability of clients’ and prospective clients’ outside annuities or alternative holdings in the context of their broader financial picture
  • Occasionally engage directly with clients on portfolio evaluation topics to support Investment Counselors and strengthen client relationships
Your Qualifications:
  • Series 65 (preferred) and Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years experience working with investment and financial planning concepts
  • Understanding of portfolio management practices
  • Collaborative approach with an emphasis on client focus
  • Consultative experience in the financial services industry
Compensation:
  • $85,000 - $135,000 base salary per year in the state of WA. New hires should expect to start at the lower end of the range depending on experience
  • Eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance
