Job summary

Origin Staffing represents a leading growth equity firm in Boston seeking a Portfolio Monitoring & Valuation Analyst to join its Finance team on-site. The role blends private markets, valuation, portfolio analytics, and AI-enabled automation, owning quarterly valuations, portfolio reporting, and investor/regulatory reporting.

You will build tools to improve workflows, analyze cap tables, dilutions, and value allocations, and explore automation with AI platforms like ChatGPT and Power BI.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in private equity, growth equity, investment banking, valuation, or investment management
• Strong understanding of private company valuation and fund economics
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
• Experience working with complex financial data and reporting
• Exposure to portfolio monitoring or private markets preferred
• Genuine interest in AI, automation, and process improvement
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Drive portfolio monitoring and reporting across a large private investment portfolio
• Prepare and analyze quarterly private company valuations
• Work with investment professionals on valuation inputs and investment considerations
• Analyze cap tables, dilution, liquidation, preferences, waterfalls and value allocation
• Support LP, regulatory, fundraising, and ad hoc portfolio reporting
• Improve data quality, reporting processes, and analytical workflows
• Identify opportunities to automate manual work and build internal tools using AI and data tools
