Job summary

SpaceX in Bastrop, Texas is seeking a Porter for a 3‑month temporary assignment in our on‑site private restaurant. You will greet employees and staff, assist with restocking supplies, and carry out duties assigned by kitchen management.

Responsibilities include receiving deliveries, conducting daily checks on beverage stations and equipment, supporting inventory counts, and coordinating with culinary, café, and facilities teams to prevent shortages.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 1+ years of either restaurant, warehouse, or customer service experience.
• Current and valid food handler card or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operational logistics including delivery receiving, restocking, and internal distribution of supplies
• Conduct daily checks of water jug stations, soda bibs, and CO₂ systems to maintain uptime and service reliability
• Fulfill and deliver requisitions accurately, ensuring communication and documentation via internal systems and team channels
• Assist with weekly inventory counts and ordering cycles to support production and service schedules
• Verify product quality, expiration, and invoice accuracy during receiving; elevate discrepancies as needed
• Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) safely and efficiently once trained
• Maintain clean, organized, and compliant storage and staging areas
• Collaborate cross-functionally with culinary, café, and facilities teams to anticipate needs and prevent shortages
• Support special projects or operational setups as assigned by site leadership

PORTER - TEMPORARY

As a Porter at SpaceX, you will be interacting with our guests (employees), fellow staff members, and management staff in our private restaurant in a polite, courteous manner. You will also help with restocking supplies and other duties assigned by kitchen management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

POSITION DETAILS:

This is a TEMPORARY position with SpaceX, for the length of time as stated, and is subject to change with minimal notice as business needs dictate.

• LENGTH OF POSITION: 3 months (permanent hire conversion based on performance and business need)
• LOCATION: Bastrop, Texas

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 1+ years of either restaurant experience, warehouse experience, and/or customer service experience

• Current and valid food handler card or equivalent

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to carry large heavy items unassisted such as large packages, dishes in tubs, or trays (up to 45 lbs.)
• Ability to stand for long periods of time – up to 8-10 hours a day
• Must be able to work all shifts and available for overtime, weekends and holiday(s) as needed
• Frequent bending, stooping, and lifting of objects
