Physical Requirements Of The Porter Position

• Standing – Constant – Surface: Tile
• Walking – Constant – Surface: Tile Distance: Within Restaurant
• Twisting – Occasional – May twist at waist or turn entire body
• Bending – Occasional – May usually bend or squat to reach floor
• Squatting – Occasional – May usually squat or bend to reach floor
• Pushing/Pulling – Occasional – Bread racks or equipment on roller
• Driving – Minimal
• Reaching – Frequent – Floor to 6 – 7 feet
• Climbing – Occasional – Surface: Step or fixed ladder, 8 – 10 ft.
• Lifting – Occasional – Occasionally up to 50 lbs. Floor to counter-5 lbs.
