Job summary

Culver's Grand Rapids, MN is seeking a facilities/maintenance teammate to ensure smooth restaurant operations by performing interior and exterior tasks and managing inventory accurately.

You will sanitize, inspect, and maintain equipment, monitor inventory, and coordinate opening duties with team members. The role requires physical tasks, lifting, and working outdoors in various conditions.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate sanitation and food safety practices consistently
• Check over restaurant from previous close to ensure a safe and secure environment
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly jobs timely and accurately
• Maintain the appearance of the building interior, exterior, and grounds, including landscaping and snow removal as needed
• Follow company safety standards at all times and look out for the safety of other team members and guests
• Coordinates job duties around other opening team members to ensure efficient preparation for opening
• Put food order away accurately, rotate stock in cooler, freezer, and dry storage area using the First-In-First-Out method while monitoring shelf life and code dates
• Take temperatures of required foods upon delivery accurately, and document as required
• Maintain a basic working knowledge of the operation of all the equipment in the restaurant
• Complete scheduled maintenance on all restaurant equipment safely and correctly
• Report possible areas of incomplete closing or other restaurant operations to the General Manager
• Complete other miscellaneous tasks as assigned

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Move items weighing up to 100 pounds for various needs
• Possess manual dexterity for assembly and maintenance tasks
• Able to reach, bend, push, pull and/or stretch body to grab or move items
• Remain in a standing position for 4 or more hours at a time
• Work both indoors and outdoors each up to 50% of the time
• Climb up and down a ladder to a height of 25 feet
• Able to use various kitchen equipment such as deep fryers, grills, toasters, etc.
• Frequent exposure to cold temperatures from coolers and freezers, as well as heat from cooking equipment
• Frequent exposure to weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, snow and wind
• Able to see, read,and comprehend a variety of written or displayed media
