Job summary

Commercial Maintenance Inc. in San Diego, CA is seeking a Day Porter to maintain cleanliness, safety, and appearance of assigned properties. This role requires a proactive approach, responsiveness to requests, and attention to detail throughout the shift.

Schedule includes Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat 7:00am-1:30pm; Sunday and Tuesday off. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years janitorial experience, be bilingual English/Spanish preferred, and able to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follow instructions and assigned cleaning schedules
• Respond promptly to building and cleaning requests
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness of lobbies, corridors, elevators, and stairwells
• Pick up, empty, and transport trash and recycling
• Remove debris from floors and surrounding areas
• Clean and sanitize restrooms including toilets and sinks
• Refill paper towels, toilet paper, and soap dispensers
• Clean spills and maintain safe conditions at all times
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas
• Clean glass surfaces including doors and mirrors
• Perform dusting, vacuuming, and mopping as needed
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Position Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Including but not limited to:

• Follow instructions and assigned cleaning schedules
• Respond promptly to building and cleaning requests

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and carry a backpack vacuum (approximately 12 pounds)
