Job summary

Premier Truck Group is hiring a Porter to keep our facilities running smoothly across our network of locations. You will be the primary contact for building issues, coordinate with vendors, and support daily maintenance tasks.

We seek a candidate with a high school diploma or GED, at least one year in a shop or factory setting, and a valid driver's license ( CDL and DOT medical card if driving off-site). Premier Truck Group is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum one year of shop/factory work experience.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL and DOT medical card if operating a vehicle off-site.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary contact for building issues (climate control, odors, spills, damage, emergencies and repairs).
• Monitor contractor performance and coordinate with vendors to meet specifications.
• Coordinate repairs and small to large construction projects as needed.
• Assist General Manager with the annual facility maintenance budget.
• Solicit bids and quotes from vendors.
• Monitor and replace facility light bulbs as needed.
• Perform minor plumbing repairs when required.
• Coordinate departmental and employee moves.
• Perform basic electrical work; determine when a licensed electrician is required.
• Hang pictures and shelving as needed; dismantle and install furniture.
• Perform routine cleaning to keep the facility pristine.
• Maintain professional appearance and work area per company policy.
• Other duties as assigned.

Porter Responsibilities:

Porter Requirements:

Education:

A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Additional training in maintenance preferred.

Experience:

A minimum of one year experience in a shop/factory work environment required

Licenses or Certificates

A valid driver's license is required. CDL and DOT medical card is mandatory if vehicle is to be driven off of dealership premises.
