Job summary

Carolina Sweepers is seeking a Porter- Grounds Keeper for outdoor maintenance of commercial properties across the Carolinas and Georgia. This full-time, driving position includes company training and a path to long-term advancement.

You will perform litter pickup, surface cleaning, trash bag changes, dumpster enclosure work, light ladder or roof tasks, and related building maintenance. A valid driver license and clean driving record are required; safety PPE is provided and monthly safety

Qualifications

• Active driver license and clean driving record required.
• Experience in janitorial, cleaning, or related work a plus.
• Safety-focused attitude with PPE provided and training.
• Able to pass background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Pick up litter around commercial properties.
• Wipe/clean surfaces such as windowsills and benches.
• Change trash bags in outdoor cans.
• Clean dumpster enclosures and break down boxes.
• Perform other building maintenance tasks as needed.
• Drive a company pickup between jobsites.
• Work on ladders/roofs or near retention ponds as required.
• Sign repair tasks.

Our properties are mostly commercial/retail shopping centers. You will spend your days outside, rain or shine,

• Picking up litter
• Wiping/cleaning surfaces such as windowsills, trash can lid’s, benches, etc.
• Changing trash bags in outdoor trash cans
• Cleaning out dumpster enclosures, breaking down boxes, lifting/moving heavy pallets, furniture, etc.
• Other building maintenance work as needed
• You will drive a company pickup truck to and from jobsites
• May also be required to do some work on ladders/roofs or near retention ponds
• Sign Repair

Requirements

This is a driving position. Applicants must have an active driver license and a clean driving record to be considered for this position.

Our ideal candidate is a self-starter with the work ethic necessary to operate on their own for most of the day. Experience is not required, however janitorial, and cleaning experience is a plus. Safety is our priority! Utilizing our Safety Coordinator and holding monthly safety meetings, we make sure our employees are protected from all kinds of hazards and have the proper PPE for the job.
