We are hiring immediately for a full time PORTER position.

Location: Uber Technologies - 190 Mathilda Place, Sunnyvale, CA 94086. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full time schedule. Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. More details upon interview.

Requirement: 1 year of previous porter experience preferred.

Pay Range: $21.00 per hour to $22.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the front of the house, including all tables, counters, floors, windows and beverage station.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Ensures tables are bussed, cleared and cleaned and floors are cleared and swept during peak service times and are prepped prior to service.
2. Follows safety procedures when transporting dishes and utensils from the front of the house to the kitchen area using trays, bus tubs or carts.
3. Washes dishes, glasses and pots; cleans cooking stations and equipment to expedite a smooth flow of service while maintaining sanitation standards.
4. Scrapes and rinses food from dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment. Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
5. Keeps display equipment clean, free of debris and in compliance with all safety and sanitation standards during meal service.
6. Helps receive heavy deliveries from dock and transports them to assigned storage areas while observing all safe lifting standards.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.
8. Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
9. Personal commitment to your own safety and that of others.
10. Abides by all Company policies and procedures including but not limited to:
1. The use of a medium weight cut gloves when handling or using knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins or cleaning a slicer.
2. The use of oven mitts, fryer gloves or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers or steamtables.
3. The use of slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.
