Compass Group USA, a leading foodservice provider, is hiring a Porter for full-time day shifts in New York City. The role focuses on front-of-house sanitation, dishwashing, and maintaining a clean dining environment at the Citadel location.

Ideal candidates have porter or dishwashing experience and can work Monday through Friday. The position offers a competitive $20.00 per hour pay and eligibility for employee referral bonuses.

Responsabilidades

• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the front of the house, including tables, counters, floors, windows and beverage station.
• Busses, clears and cleans tables and floors during peak service times and preps before service.
• Transports dishes and utensils to the kitchen using trays, bus tubs or carts while following safety procedures.
• Washes dishes and cleans cooking stations to ensure smooth service and sanitation standards.
• Rinses and cleans dishes; maintains display equipment clean and compliant with safety standards.
• Assists with receiving deliveries and moving them to storage while observing safe lifting techniques.

Job Summary

Summary: Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the front of the house, including all tables, counters, floors, windows and beverage station.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensures tables are bussed, cleared and cleaned and floors are cleared and swept during peak service times and are prepped prior to service.
• Follows safety procedures when transporting dishes and utensils from the front of the house to the kitchen area using trays, bus tubs or carts.
• Washes dishes, glasses and pots; cleans cooking stations and equipment to expedite a smooth flow of service while maintaining sanitation standards.
• Scrapes and rinses food from dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment. Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Keeps display equipment clean, free of debris and in compliance with all safety and sanitation standards during meal service.
• Helps receive heavy deliveries from dock and transports them to assigned storage areas while observing all safe lifting standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
• Personal commitment to your own safety and that of others.
• Abides by all Company policies and procedures including but not limited to:
  • The use of a medium weight cut gloves when handling or using knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins or cleaning a slicer.
  • The use of oven mitts, fryer gloves or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers or steamtables.
  • The use of slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.
