Job summary

Elite Amenity Management in New York City is seeking a Part-Time Porter / Freight Attendant to keep on-site amenity spaces presentation-ready, operate freight service for vendors and deliveries, and provide short-term coverage at the security desk.

The role requires at least 1 year of porter or similar facilities experience, comfort with freight elevator procedures, and strong communication with residents, vendors, and guests.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum in porter, housekeeping, building attendant, freight attendant, or similar facilities role.
• Comfort with freight elevator procedures and safety rules.
• Ability to verify visitors and adhere to access-control procedures.
• Knowledge of sanitation, chemical use, and slip-prevention practices.
• Clear communication with residents, vendors, and visitors.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Direct workers, vendors, and deliveries via freight elevator.
• Enforce freight access rules and restrict unauthorized guests.
• Operate the freight elevator safely: monitor weight, level car, follow gate procedures.
• Provide vendor access to freight landing only.
• Route heavy packages to freight; keep freight area clean.
• Dust-mop, mop, and vacuum freight-side areas and restock supplies.
• Collaborate with management to resolve maintenance or cleanliness issues promptly.
• Log visitors and verify approval before sending them upstairs.
• Follow training on elevator recall, gate barriers, and fire panel.
