Goddard Riverside in Manhattan seeks a dependable Porter to join the Supportive Housing team. You will maintain a safe, clean, and well‑maintained residence with 50+ units for adults, including those with mobility impairments.

The role runs Monday through Friday with some Saturdays, 9:00am–5:00pm or 10:00am–6:00pm; occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays may be required. Competitive hourly rate between $19 and $21.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance and cleaning tasks to ensure a safe and clean residential environment.
• Assist residents and support staff to maintain functional common areas and mobility-accessible spaces.

Goddard Riverside is one of New York City’s leading human service organizations meeting the basic needs of children, youth and families, homeless people, and older adults across Manhattan and New York City.

Purpose of Position: We are seeking a dependable, motivated, and detail-oriented Porter to join our Supportive Housing team. The porter is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, functional, and well-maintained supportive housing residence, consisting of more than 50 residential units for adults, including individuals with mobility impairments.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, Saturday (May require occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays based on operational needs), 9:00am-5:00pm & 10:00am-6:00pm Saturday 9:00am-1:00pm

Hourly Rate: $19.00-$21.00/hr

Candidates must have the required qualifications to be considered for the position. The salary offer will be based on the candidate’s number of years experience in the exact or comparable position and additional preferred qualifications will be taken into account.
