Job summary

Affinity Property Management seeks a Porter for Twin Creeks Apartments in Clackamas, Oregon. This full-time position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and requires 1+ year groundskeeping experience.

You will help maintain building exteriors, common areas, and resident-facing spaces. The role features a Tuesday–Saturday schedule from 8:00am to 4:30pm, with an hourly starting pay of $20.00 and eligible renewal commissions and discounts.

Qualifications

• Authorization to work in the United States is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ years of porter/groundskeeping experience preferred.
• General knowledge of janitorial services (sweeping, mopping, trash).
• Strong teamwork and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and groundskeeping tasks for the property.
• Maintain cleanliness and curb appeal of the grounds and common areas.
• Interact with residents in a professional, courteous manner.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor with daily tasks and safety compliance.
• Support in basic repairs and reporting issues promptly.

Location: Twin Creeks Apartments (220 units) 11480 SE Sunnyside Rd. Clackamas, Oregon 97015

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday from 8:00am-4:30pm

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor

Compensation Package

• Competitive starting hourly pay range of $20.00-$20.00

Administrative

• Communicate daily with the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager, and perform tasks as requested

Asset Preservation

• Ensure the building is in accordance with all applicable building codes, ordinances, pool safety, fire codes, and emergency evacuation regulations


• Perform regularly scheduled inspections of all common areas


• Ensure preventative repairs are done on a regular basis

General Maintenance

• Perform janitorial services for the interior and exterior of the building, including and not limited to sweeping, mopping, trash pickup, pet waste removal, vacuuming, and dusting


• Operate a leaf blower and pressure washer


• Assist in maintenance duties as assigned by Property Manager or Maintenance Supervisor

Resident Experience

• Promote community member satisfaction by maintaining a high standard of community cleanliness and curb appeal


• Paint interior and exterior surfaces as necessary


• Interact with current and future community members in a professional, courteous, and non-discriminatory manner

What You’ll Need

• Authorization to work in the United States


• High School Diploma or equivalent


• Reliable transportation


• 1+ years of relevant porter and groundskeeping experience


• General knowledge of various janitorial services including sweeping, mopping, trash pickup, vacuuming, and dusting


• Demonstrates teamwork, good hygiene, ethical behavior and integrity, excellent customer service and communication skills, ability to multi-task, resolve conflicts, engage in cost/benefit analytical decision-making, and ambition for continuous professional development

Your Work Environment

• Approximately 90% inspecting property grounds, including apartments, building structure, landscaping, and signage which may require the ability to climb stairs, scaffolds, ladders and maneuver walkways


• Approximately 10% in office environment using computer or tablet and phone.


• Frequent lifting, pushing, carrying or pulling of 20-50 pounds


• Frequent kneeling, crouching, bending and reaching to inspect appliances and fixtures


• May be required to work weekends
