Responsibilities

• Maintain Management Office, models, interiors and public areas neat and attractive.
• Maintain grounds including sidewalks, walkways, stairways and exteriors.
• Enter Work Orders from residents.
• Assist in making vacant apartments rent-ready.
• Remove trash and debris from the community.
• Complete tasks per procedures and on time.
• Replace light bulbs as needed.
• Snow removal around common areas and entrances.
• Deliver notifications to residents.
• Transport small equipment between departments.
• Set up tables and chairs for events.
• Be punctual and reliable.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

About the Role:

Compensation is $22.00 p/hour

Summary:

The Porter assists the maintenance team in maintaining the physical integrity of the community. This involves ensuring a safe, secure and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors and staff. The Porter will carry out assigned duties in a safe, prompt and professional manner.

Requirements:

Education:

For safety and productivity reasons, the position requires the ability to read and write English correctly and fluently. In addition, the position requires the ability to accurately perform basic to intermediate mathematical functions.

Experience:

No previous working experience required.

Skills:

• ability to identify and use janitorial supplies


• ability to use general maintenance tools, supplies and equipment such as, but not limited to, hand tools, pressure washers, blowers, paint equipment, pool equipment, ice removal equipment, etc.


• strong customer service orientation


• good verbal and written communication skills


• basic computer skills, specifically knowledge of Microsoft Office products


• ability to attend seminars/classes in multiple locations


• must have the ability to arrive at the site within 30 minutes if not living on site

Licenses:

Valid Driver’s License and insurance recommended.

Essential Job Functions:

1. 1. Maintain Management Office, models, interior public and common areas of the community in a neat, clean and attractive condition.


2. 2. Maintain all grounds, including sidewalks, public walkways and stairways, building exteriors, garden areas and dog runs in a neat, clean and attractive condition.


3. 3. Accepts and enters Work Order requests from residents.


4. 4. Assist in the effort to make vacant apartments rent-ready in a timely manner.


5. 5. Compact and remove trash and debris from community.


6. 6. Complete assigned tasks consistent with company operating procedures and in a timely manner.


7. 7. Replaces light bulbs.


8. 8. Snow removal. including, but not limited to shoveling, salting/sanding, and clearing of sidewalks, public walkways and stairways, building exterior entrances, parking garages and any other common areas or area determined by the Supervisor.


9. 9. Delivers notifications to residents.


10. 10. Transports small equipment or tools between departments.


11. 11. Sets up tables and chairs in auditorium or hall.


12. 12. Must be punctual and reliable.


13. 13. All other tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
