Job summary

GMH Communities in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Part-Time Temp Porter to join our maintenance team. The Porter is responsible for keeping the grounds, pool, leasing office, parking areas, and common spaces clean and welcoming, handling work orders, and delivering excellent resident service.

On-call and weekend hours may be required. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will perform hands-on repairs, support the Turn and Make Ready process, and ensure safety and compliance with company

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Basic understanding of plumbing.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record and proof of insurance.
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of pool upkeep.
• Good interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily operations of the property.
• Cleanliness of the grounds, pool, leasing office, parking lots/structures, and common areas.
• Work Order response.
• The Turn and Make Ready process.
• Adhering to company policy, state and federal safety and fair housing laws.
• Hands on repair and upkeep.
• Report any safety or maintenance concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Job Description:

The Porter reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for the overall cleanliness and curb appeal of the community. The primary responsibilities of the Porter are grounds, parking lot, and community area upkeep, work orders, and maintaining excellent resident relations through outstanding customer service. On call and weekend hours may be required.
