Lower Eastside Service Center is seeking a diligent cleaning professional to maintain all common areas inside Su Casa and surrounding exteriors in New York, NY 10002. You will perform daily cleaning, trash disposal, floor care, snow removal, and supplies replenishment while ensuring safety and cleanliness for building occupants and visitors.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, good interpersonal skills, and hands-on maintenance experience; the schedule is Mon-Fri, 8 AM to 4 PM,

Responsabilidades

• Clean and maintain common areas daily including dining area, bathrooms, lobby, hallways, and other spaces.
• Empty trash and manage disposal on schedule.
• Sweep, mop, and clean exterior areas in front of the building.
• Remove snow and apply salt to keep areas safe.
• Replenish toilet accessories and request replacements as needed.
• Clean graffiti-free walls, windows, and surfaces.
• Assist tenants with moving belongings as needed.
• Transport supplies into the building.
• Ensure safety by posting signs during cleaning.
• Fill in for other porters and cover absences.
• Be available for ad hoc emergencies (storms, floods).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

BASIC FUNCTION:

Maintains and cleans all common areas of Su Casa, both inside and outside, keeping them spotless, safe, and sanitary.

MAJOR DUTIES:

• Cleans, sanitizes, mops, washes, and maintains common areas, including dining area, bathrooms, (done daily) elevator, lobby, hallways, waiting areas, roof drains, and laundry rooms if applicable.
• Empty and place trash in appropriate receptacles outside of the building on identified days.
• Sweeps, mops, and cleans in front of the building.
• Removes snow on snow days/storms and puts salt down to keep the area safe for building occupants and the general public.
• Replenishes toilet accessories and requests replacement accessories as needed.
• Maintains the walls free of graffiti and cleans windows, walls, and other identified surfaces.
• Assists tenants in moving belongings in and/or out of the building if applicable.
• Transports supplies into the building.
• Assures clients and staff safety while cleaning by posting appropriate signs.
• Fills in for other porters who are on vacation or out for the day.
• Must be available for ad hoc emergencies, i.e., snowstorms, flooding, etc.
• Performs other duties as requested or assigned.

SCHEDULE:

Monday-Friday 8AM-4PM

RATE:

$34,580 - $36,400 / year dependent on experience ($19 - $20 / hour)

Requirements

QUALIFICATION - EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma, GED, and/or a satisfactory equivalent combination of education and/or training and experience. Good interpersonal skills and hands-on knowledge of maintenance trades.
