Description

Job Overview: Performs a variety of cleaning/maintenance duties as assigned, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, replacing light bulbs, and window cleaning. Submits reports to the Supervisor. May work indoors to maintain the interior of the community, outdoors to maintain the exterior, or a combination of both.

Your Responsibilities:

1. Informs Supervisor of needed supplies.
2. Maintains all cleaning solutions in accordance with OSHA requirements for hazardous chemicals.
3. Removes trash from premises and assists in emergency cleaning.
4. Properly utilizes new equipment and follows safety procedures prior to use.
5. Maintains a friendly and professional attitude.
6. Ensures the appropriate level of sanitary and cleaning supplies for assigned areas.
7. Inspects all assigned areas daily and reports discrepancies to the Supervisor.
8. Adheres to security procedures at all times.
9. Follows safety precautions while performing work.
10. Maintains working relationships with building staff.
11. Furnishes and burnishes floors as required.
12. Completes daily work orders as scheduled.
13. Maintains equipment in good working condition.
14. Cleans restrooms: sweeps and mops floors, refills dispensers, cleans fixtures, empties trash, reports discrepancies.
15. Utilizes equipment properly and follows safety procedures.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs following safety procedures.
• Ability to work upright for long periods.
• Ability to crawl in small spaces and work in various environmental conditions.
• Walk, climb stairs, handle objects, reach, and repeat motions.
• Respond promptly to emergencies.
• Climb ladders and work at heights up to 3 ft.

Physical Requirements:

• Extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Good vision, with or without correction.
• Clear speech for communication.
• Ability to perform physical movements such as sitting, standing, kneeling, lifting, and climbing stairs.
• Work indoors and outdoors with variable conditions.
• Interact effectively with diverse individuals.
• Work in confined spaces and use finger dexterity for typing.

Additional Information:

Compensation: $15.00-$20.00/hour
