Job summary

Puttery in Miami is hiring a Porter to maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of our venue, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and team members.

You’ll work in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused setting, performing housekeeping, restocking supplies, and reporting hazards, with respect for safety and our standards of service.

Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays is needed; prior custodial or porter experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial, housekeeping, or porter experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping and cleaning tasks as directed by Venue Managers or Supervisors.
• Maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, including restrooms and common spaces.
• Ensure restrooms are clean, stocked, and maintained with proper supplies.
• Support general maintenance and minor repair tasks as needed.
• Maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Respond promptly to guest or staff cleanliness or safety requests.
• Follow safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Report facility hazards or issues to management.

Job Purpose

The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the venue to ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment for guests and team members. This role plays a vital part in creating an atmosphere that reflects Puttery’s standards of hospitality, cleanliness, and care.

Porters are expected to work efficiently, communicate effectively, and contribute to a positive team culture built on respect, support, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping and cleaning tasks as directed by the Venue Managers or Supervisors
• Maintain cleanliness of all interior and exterior areas, including restrooms, storage areas, walkways, and common spaces
• Ensure restrooms are clean, stocked, and maintained with proper supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels, etc.)
• Support general maintenance and minor repair tasks as needed
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment
• Respond promptly to guest or staff requests regarding cleanliness or safety concerns
• Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures
• Monitor facility conditions and report any issues or hazards to management
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Previous custodial, housekeeping, or porter experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, safety procedures, and sanitation best practices
• Reliable, self-motivated, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
• Flexible availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Working Conditions

• Active, physically demanding role requiring regular standing, walking, bending, and lifting
• Exposure to varying indoor and outdoor environments, including different temperatures and weather conditions
• May involve working on wet or slippery floors, handling cleaning agents, and operating basic maintenance equipment
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance
• Extended shifts and weekend or holiday hours may be required to meet operational needs
