Summary

The Porter/Groundskeeper is responsible for the overall cleaning and appearance of the community models and vacant readies, including the public access areas utilized by current and prospective residents.

Job Responsibilities

• Cleans office, public access areas, and models as directed, including but not limited to mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal.
• Cleans apartments thoroughly after move‑out or vacant units to prepare for new residents.
• Maintains model units and public access areas clean and orderly.
• Monitors and reports on the inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Removes trash and debris from the trash compactor and dumpster areas.
• Maintains the housekeeping storage room.
• Reports any maintenance concerns or repairs in unoccupied apartments, models, and common areas to the Property Manager.
• Assists maintenance staff and other team members as needed.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Abilities

• Residential/apartment cleaning experience.
• Ability to work some weekends and extended hours.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk and stand for long periods, with frequent interruptions, including reaching, bending, or carrying, and climbing flights of stairs in various weather conditions.
• Requires manual dexterity with normal hand/finger movement and coordination.
• Ability to occasionally lift, carry, position, or move objects weighing up to 125 pounds, including heavy loads of debris and 2‑yard dumpsters.
• Must be able to operate a pressure washer system for exterior use.
