Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is hiring a Porter to support our collision and glass services. You will pre-wash customer vehicles, maintain clean facilities, and ensure tools and areas are organized for smooth repairs. This role emphasizes reliability, attention to detail, and a positive attitude. Eligibility includes a High School diploma or GED, 18+, valid driver's license, and automotive experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Automotive experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute WOW plan consistently.
• Maintain office cleanliness including floors, dusting, and trash.
• Keep production area clean; dispose of waste and organize tools.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds, shovel snow when needed.
• Pre-washes customer vehicles before repairs.
• Clean vehicles after repairs, both inside and outside.
• Transport customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.

Job Description

The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery. Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary.
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete.
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.

Education and/or Experience Required

• High School diploma / GED preferred
• Ability to multitask
• Automotive experience preferred
• Clear close vision required
• 18 years or age or older
• Valid Driver's license
• Strong attention to detail

Compensation Details

$14 - 19 / Hour Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.
