Job summary

Complete Care at Whispering Woods in New Jersey is seeking a dedicated Porter to support our residents and keep living spaces clean and welcoming. You will perform cleaning duties, move furniture, restock supplies, and maintain a safe, orderly environment as part of our care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in long term care and EVS preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a group.

Responsibilities

• Maintain resident rooms including cleaning restrooms, walls, baseboards, doors, ceilings, mirrors.
• Moves furniture to dry and wet mop floors; dust and clean all furniture and fixtures.
• Terminal cleaning of resident rooms upon transfer, discharge, or death.
• Cleans and empties trash in soiled utility rooms; maintains facility appearance.
• Cleans stairwells, windows in lobby/offices/lounge; polishes elevators.
• Performs emergency housekeeping where accidents occur; restocks stockroom.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Porter Qualifications & Responsibilities:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in long term care and EVS preferred but not required
• Maintain the resident rooms including but not limited to cleaning restroom, walls, baseboards, doors, ceilings, mirrors, dusting, washing windows, and removing trash
• Moves furniture to dry and wet mop floors
• Dusts and cleans all furniture and fixtures
• Terminal Cleaning of resident room upon transfer, discharge, or death
• Cleans and empties trash in soiled utility rooms
• Maintains facility appearance by cleaning all stairwells, washing windows in main lobby, offices, staff and resident lounges
• Cleans and polishes elevators as needed
• Performs emergency housekeeping where accidents occur
• Restocks and maintains a clear stockroom and housekeeping cart
• Ability to work independently or part of a group
