Job Summary

As a Porter for Hai Hospitality, you will be responsible for a wide variety of duties pertaining to the general maintenance and upkeep of the restaurant. Reporting to the General Manager, you are responsible for daily walk-throughs and proactive cleaning/repairing of restaurant equipment, facilities, and grounds—both front and back of house. Primary tasks include routine cleaning projects, preventative maintenance, handyman tasks, and basic equipment/facility repairs. The Porter position is essential for keeping our restaurants running smoothly and grounds beautiful for staff and guests.

Essential Job Functions

The duties of a Porter are divided into two main categories: restaurant facilities and upkeep, bridging the cleaning crew and Facilities Manager. A Porter is expected to complete all designated projects, additional duties, and comply with company policies. Skills and duties are assessed under:

• Demonstrate understanding and control over equipment and facilities.
• Understand best practices, supplies, and tools for cleaning applications.
• Maintain shared cleaning and maintenance supplies and storage areas.
• Have basic understanding of technical manuals and drawings.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
