Job summary

The Boyd Group in Dothan, AL is seeking a Porter to complement quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to delivery and maintaining the appearance of the shop and offices.

You will pre-wash and post-clean vehicles, transport cars to sublet locations, and keep production and office areas tidy. Requires a high school diploma or GED, 18+, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Customer service orientation and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in automotive or maintenance background preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure WOW plan is consistently executed.
• Keep office and production areas clean and organized.
• Perform pre- and post-repair vehicle cleanups.
• Move vehicles to sublet locations as needed.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in neat condition.
• Assist with general shop upkeep and safety compliance.

Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs

Education and/or Experience Required

• High School diploma / GED preferred
• Ability to multitask
• Automotive experience preferred
• Clear close vision required
• 18 years or age or older
• Valid Driver's license
• Strong attention to detail

Compensation Details:

$12 - $18/ Hour Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.
