Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Portables Service Technician in Saint Paul, MN to inspect, test, and service portable fire extinguishers and related equipment. You will lead teams as needed and ensure work complies with safety and NFPA standards.

The role requires performing detailed inspections, documenting issues, and maintaining the truck and tools. Travel and evening/weekend work may be required; competitive hourly pay and benefits accompany this full-time position.

Qualifications

• Troubleshooting skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
• Knowledge of NFPA standards preferred.
• Experience with fire extinguishers preferred.
• A high school education or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install or service fire extinguishers in commercial and residential buildings.
• Test and repair fire extinguishers already in place.
• Perform inspections to ensure fire extinguishers are installed according to code.
• Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting any issues.
• Report results of work completed in an accurate and timely manner.
• Inspect and maintain the truck and related equipment, arranging repairs as needed.
• Respond to emergency service calls.
