Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, testing, maintenance, and servicing of portable fire extinguishers and related equipment independently.
- Complete standard service calls without direct supervision while ensuring quality and compliance.
- Conduct annual inspections, maintenance, and assist with testing as required.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, and company procedures.
- Accurately document services performed, including tagging and reporting.
- Identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions to customers and supervisors.
- Maintain and properly use tools, equipment, and service vehicles.
- Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and supervisors regarding job status and findings.
- Maintain a high level of safety awareness and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform work in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
- Use hand tools and testing equipment.
- Travel to job sites as required.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
- NICET Level I or above preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks.
- Strong understanding of portable fire protection equipment and applicable codes.
- Must have a clean driving record and an active driver’s license (if driving role).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
- Perform lifting, climbing ladders, and work in various environments.
- Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work for extended periods.
Pay & Benefits
$23/hr - $29/hr (Depending on Experience)
