Job summary

U-Haul International, Inc. is seeking a U-Box Customer Care Driver to support local delivery operations in Phoenix. As a CCR, you will operate flatbed trucks and forklift equipment, loading and unloading storage containers while delivering to customers’ homes and businesses on local routes.

The role requires a CDL, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a clean driving record. You will participate in ongoing training and safety programs and enjoy comprehensive company benefits.

Qualifications

• Department of Transportation certification preferred or required.
• Commercial driver’s license (CDL) required.

Responsibilities

U-Box Customer Care Driver Responsibilities:

• Operate a flatbed truck (training provided).
• Operate an 8000-lb propane forklift or a truck-mounted forklift (training provided).
• Load and unload storage containers for delivery.
• Transport storage containers to and from specified destinations, e.g., customers’ homes and businesses – local routes only.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
• Clean motor vehicle driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Department of Transportation certification
• Commercial driver’s license (CDL)
• Must be 18 or older

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, fumes or chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
