Job summary

Tidy Services is seeking a Portable Restroom Service Driver to join a team providing quality portable sanitation services across Southwest Virginia. You will service restrooms and sinks, pump holding tanks, and restock supplies at homes, construction sites, schools, events, and festivals.

Responsibilities include safe driving, daily vehicle inspections, keeping equipment clean, communicating with dispatch, and maintaining a neat, professional appearance.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid driver’s license
• Have an insurable driving record: minimum 3 years driving with no major moving violations, no more than two in past 3 years
• Able to read GPS systems and use maps or similar programs
• Able to pass a background check for access to secured sites
• Able to work flexible hours, including evenings/weekends/holidays during peak season (April-October)

Responsibilities

• Service portable toilets on assigned routes (cleaning, pumping, restocking supplies)
• Complete a daily vehicle inspection using a smartphone app
• Clean trucks or compactor bodies after routes
• Obey traffic laws and established procedures
• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment
• Report mechanical problems with vehicles
• Perform emergency repairs (tires, bulbs, fuses, etc.)
• Communicate with dispatchers about delays, unsafe sites, or maintenance issues
• Use the work app daily to complete each job
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance
• Represent Tidy Services with friendly, professional customer service
• Assist with additional duties as assigned by management (including driving other fleet vehicles)

Tidy Services is looking for a Portable Restroom Service Driver to be part of a team of people who are committed to providing quality service to customers. This is an appreciated and essential position. The job includes servicing portable restrooms and sink units within our service area, by cleaning, pumping, and restocking supplies. This may include (but is not limited to) individual homes, construction sites, schools, community events, and festivals. At times it will be necessary to pump out RV holding tanks and external tanks used on trailers and other temporary sites.

Job Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Portable Restroom Service Driver include, but are not limited to:

• Service portable toilets on assigned routes, i.e. cleaning, pumping, restocking supplies.
• Complete a daily vehicle inspection using an app on a smartphone to ensure safe operating conditions, notating if there is defective equipment.
• Clean trucks or compactor bodies after routes have been completed.
• Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.
• Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
• Perform emergency repairs, such as changing tires or installing light bulbs, fuses, tire chains, or spark plugs.
• Communicate with dispatchers concerning delays, unsafe sites, accidents, equipment breakdowns or other maintenance problems, or traffic problems.
• Responsible for using the work app on a smartphone to complete each job every day.
• Responsible for maintaining a neat and professional appearance at all times.
• Drivers represent Tidy Services and are expected to be friendly, professional, and provide excellent customer service.
• As part of being a team player, be responsible for any additional duties as assigned by management. This includes driving other vehicles within the truck fleet or performing additional services to assist the company in achieving customer demands.

• Have an insurable driving record: have a minimum of three (3) years of driving experience with no major moving violations (reckless driving, DUI, etc.), no other moving violations within the past 12 months, and no more than two (2) in the past three (3) years

• Able to work flexible hours, as required, is essential
