Job summary

MarquisIndustrialServices is seeking boilermakers with oil and gas industry experience to assist in designing and installing boilers, closed vessels, or containers holding liquids or gases. Responsibilities include fabricating, assembling, and repairing pressure vessels per blueprints and drawings.

Applicants must read drawings, weld pressure vessel components, and operate metalworking machinery while maintaining safety standards and wearing PPE.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent required.
• Must be able to read and interpret basic blueprints and ISO drawings.
• NCCER BCM Certified preferred; minimum 3 years boilermaker experience.
• TWIC Card and valid Driver’s License required.
• Overtime willingness and PPE on jobsite at all times.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to OSHA and site safety requirements.
• Perform boiler, closed vessel, or pressure vessel assembly and repair.
• Bolt or arc weld parts; rig crane or hoist operators for heavy components.
• Layout and mark cutting/bending lines on metal using templates and tools.
• Read designs to create templates and operate metalworking machinery.

EssentialFunctions

• Participateinsafetypre-jobaudits(JSA’s)withtheworkcrewtoensureallsafetyhazardshavebeenidentified
• Boltorarcweldspressurevesselstructuresandpartstogether,usingwrenchesorweldingequipment.
• Attachriggingandsignalcraneorhoistoperatorstoliftheavyframeandplatesectionsorotherpartsintoplace.
• Layoutplate,sheetsteel,orotherheavymetalandlocateandmarkbendingandcuttinglines,usingprotractors,compassesanddrawinginstrumentortemplates.
• Shapeseams,joints,orirregularedgesofpressurevesselsectionsorstructuralpartstoattainspecifiedfitofparts,usingcuttingtorches,hammers,files,ormetalworkingmachines.
• Beabletoreadandinterpretdesignsanddrawingstocreatetemplates
• Operatemetalworkingmachinerytorepairormakeparts.
• Position,align,andsecurestructuralpartsorrelatedassembliestoboilerframes,tanks,orvatsofpressurevessels,followingblueprints.
