Job summary

The Barback at Highgate Hotels in Miami Beach supports the bar team by keeping stock, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth service flow all shift. You’ll assist bartenders, manage requisitions, and uphold safety and sanitation standards in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in a similar role, strong communication skills, and flexibility for evening shifts. Full-time benefits and a dynamic, guest-focused environment await.

Qualifications

• One year of previous experience in a similar role.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Evening shift availability.
• Adequate communication skills: must be able to effectively communicate with customers and coworkers.
• Patient in dealing with guests.

Responsibilities

• Request, pick, verify and put away all requisitions for liquor, wine, beer, juices, soft drinks and food items used for the bar areas.
• Stock the bar areas with liquor, wine, beer, juices, soft drinks, glassware and condiments.
• Develop a complete working knowledge of all products served by the bar.
• Ensure that all side opening and closing duties are completed.
• Adopt a positive approach in dealing with guests problems and issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
• Attend to customer needs with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Operate and maintain bar equipment and tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
