The City of McAllen is seeking a Pool Coordinator to implement outdoor recreation programs at locations including Aquatic facilities, McAllen Nature Center and Fireman's Park. Under general supervision, the role supervises staff, monitors programs, and prepares routine reports for management.

This position requires tact, courtesy and resourcefulness when serving the public and directing, assisting and evaluating the performance of team members.

Job description

Under general supervision, the Pool Coordinator is responsible for implementing specific outdoor recreation programs as assigned at various locations including, but not limited to: Aquatic facilities, McAllen Nature Center and Fireman's Park. Employee has supervisory responsibilities for the actions, job performance, supervision and monitoring of all assigned employees and programs. Employee prepares standard routine reports and records. Job involves decision-making which require sound interpretation and mature judgment. Employee provides continuous service to the public frequently involving sensitive matters that demand the utmost tact, courtesy and resourcefulness. Employee has full responsibility for directing, assisting and evaluating job performance of one or more employees.
