Bathhouse in Berkeley Heights, NJ, is seeking a knowledgeable Pool Technician to maintain the health, cleanliness, and functionality of our thermal pools and water systems. The role supports a safe, elevated guest experience and requires monitoring water quality and routine maintenance.

You will collaborate with operations and facilities teams to uphold Bathhouse standards, troubleshoot issues, and keep detailed service logs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with pools, spas, or aquatic facilities.
• Strong understanding of pool chemistry, filtration, pumps, and heaters.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification.
• Experience in hospitality, spa, hotel, or fitness environments is a plus.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in identifying issues early.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily water testing and log readings accurately.
• Balance water chemistry (chlorine, pH, alkalinity, etc.) according to standards.
• Inspect pumps, filters, heaters, dosing systems, and related equipment.
• Perform routine cleaning of pools, drains, filters, and mechanical rooms.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues quickly; elevate repairs when needed.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on pool systems and associated equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and service logs.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
• Respond to operational issues or guest-impacting concerns promptly.
• Collaborate with facilities, lifeguard/wet area teams, and management to resolve issues and plan maintenance.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Bathhouse is seeking a knowledgeable, safety-minded, and detail-oriented Pool Technician to help maintain the health, cleanliness, and functionality of our thermal pools and water systems. This role is essential to delivering a safe, elevated guest experience and ensuring our facilities operate smoothly every day. The Pool Technician will monitor water quality, perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and work closely with operations and facilities teams to uphold Bathhouse standards.

• Comfortable working independently and collaborating across departments.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Hourly Rate: $28/hour.
