Job summary

Reynolds Lake Oconee is seeking a Pool Maintenance Technician to service and balance pools and hot tubs, perform regular filter back washes, and monitor equipment and water chemistry. The role involves outdoor work on a Sunday–Thursday schedule and requires lifting up to 75 lbs.

Eligible applicants have a High School diploma (or equivalent) and a Certified Pool Operation certification (or the ability to obtain one after hire), along with a valid driver’s license and the ability to work in

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Pool Operation certification preferred or can be acquired after hire.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance of filters, pumps, heaters, and other mechanical equipment related to operation of swimming pools and hot tubs according to established schedules.
• Insures that routine back washing of filters is performed on scheduled basis.
• Inspects pools and equipment rooms are operating efficiently.
• Insures that all water chemistry testing is performed and up to set standards.
• Apply chemicals to balance pools as necessary.
• Maintains and makes repairs to equipment used in the course of work.
• Brushes and vacuums pool keeping debris, bacterial growth, and marks off of floor and walls.
• Maintains daily pool records as required for Health Department. Reports safety and fire hazards.
• Establishes helpful relationship with members and agencies in the community.
