Job summary

Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate in ChampionsGate, near Orlando, is seeking a friendly Food Runner / Buffet Attendant to ensure fast, accurate service for breakfast and dining periods. You will support servers by delivering courses, maintaining buffet areas, and coordinating with kitchen staff to meet guest needs.

The role requires good eye/hand coordination and a basic knowledge of sanitation standards, with a minimum of one year of related work experience.

Qualifications

• Good eye/hand coordination to use kitchen equipment effectively.
• Working knowledge of sanitation standards and safety practices.
• Minimum of 1 year of related food service experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food to tables according to ticket, floor plan and seat numbers.
• Set up and replenish breakfast buffet items to keep them full and presentable.
• Maintain expo line cleanliness and organize dining areas to ensure efficiency.
• Assist servers and kitchen staff to meet guest needs and service standards.

Job Purpose:

To maintain the highest standards possible for the guest by insuring quick, efficient, and professional Food Runner / Buffet Attendant services.

Essential Job Functions

• Must have complete knowledge of service times and menu.
• Must have complete knowledge of floor plan, table numbers, and seat numbers.
• Responsible for verifying complete order on ticket to food on cold line and hot line.
• Deliver food to correct tables according to ticket, floor plan, and seat numbers.
• Always inquire if additional service is needed from guests upon delivery and inform server or manager.
• Responsible for set-up of expo line with items specified inside work.
• Must consult with supervisor on any food delivery difficulty.
• Complete all side duties as assigned.
• Must minimize breakage.
• Attend all designated staff meetings and training sessions.
• Set up and breakdown of breakfast buffet according to time allotted.
• Maintenance and replenishment of breakfast buffet items. Ensure items are always full, clean, and presentable.
• Securing all breakfast vehicles such as platters, butter dishes, bread knives as directed by manager or posted inside work.
• Placing and receiving warehouse order daily and ensuring proper par levels of product
• Ensuring all products is within date and using the FIFO method of storage

Qualifications

• Good eye/hand coordination needed to use all kitchen equipment.
• Requires a working knowledge of sanitation standards.
• Prepares daily requisition for supplies and food items for production
• Work cohesively with entire hotel staff as part of a team.
• Support procedures for food & beverage portion and waste controls.
• Maintain all coolers and freezers, prep area and equipment up to State of Florida Health Department codes at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
• 1-year minimum work-related experience is required.

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift to 70 pounds
• Able to be on your feet for up to eight hours

Working Environment

• Interior of hotel, exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions, in the restaurant and kitchen. Exposure to extreme temperatures.
• Exposure to Food and Beverage hazardous cleaning chemicals.
• Exposure to food items and beverages

• Coffee maker/urn, toaster, microwave, beverage machines, bus trays, dishware, silverware, glassware, hotbox, queen-Mary cart, utility cart, flatbed cart, chafers, heating unit, telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine
