Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy team in hospital settings. You will prepare and distribute medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, handle IV admixtures, Pyxis refills, and medication deliveries to patient care areas while maintaining stock and proper storage.

Mentoring students is also part of the role. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, with hospital experience preferred and PTCB/ICPT certification

Mastery of these duties include but are not limited to: Filling and labeling medications, refilling Pyxis, delivering Medications to Patient Care Areas, preparing IV admixture solutions, answering the telephone and directing the call to the appropriate staff, maintaining medication stock levels, maintaining proper storage of medications to ensure safe and cost effective pharmaceutical services. Mentoring and training of students. Estimated pay range for this position is $23.50 / hour depending on shift as applicable.
