Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL is seeking a Pool Nurse Float to support the Infusion Center and Multispecialty Clinic, including radiation and blood draw areas. The RN will deliver individualized cancer patient care and collaborate with the care team to ensure safety and quality.

Ideal candidates hold a BSN or ASN with oncology experience, chemotherapy administration certification, and Florida RN licensure. Flexibility to cover shifts and 48 hours every two weeks is preferred.

Qualifications

Daily patient visits vary between 50 and 100 patients. Treatment services:• Oncology physician office visits• Infusion services• Blood draw area and clinical laboratory• Radiation therapy• Radiology (PET, CT, MRI)• Screening Mammography, Diagnostic Mammograms, 3D Mammography & Ultrasounds• Rapid Response Thyroid Cancer Assessment We are currently looking for a Pool Nurse Float to cover the Infusion Center and Multispecialty Clinic including Radiation and blood draw. The Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:• Medical and Hematology oncology experience as a registered nurse• Outpatient clinic experience as a registered nurse• Administering IV fluids, IV antibiotics, Chemotherapy, Blood, Platelets• Accessing ports and changing central line dressings• Chemotherapy Certification• Flexibility to work until 6:00pm, as needed, depending on patient needs.• Be available to work a minimum of 48 hours every 2 weeks.Responsibilities:• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate the care of cancer patients and families. Integrates patient and family centered care and the quality caring factors into practice.• Identifies, documents, and provides patient education based on learning needs of the patient.• Participates in Evidence based improvement activities related to area of practice.• Participates in professional development based on the nursing professional’s standards, regulatory requirements, and job expectations.Credentials and Qualifications:• BSN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with at least one year of relevant experience or ASN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with 1 year of relevant experience • FL RN License• BLS Certification An applicant for this position, who will be or is seeking Florida licensure by endorsement, must not have any National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) reports, unless the applicant has successfully appealed to have their name removed from the NPDB.
