Job summary

Gold's Gym Camas is seeking a Part-Time Pool Maintenance Technician to keep the pool area clean, safe, and functional. You will perform routine cleaning, monitor water chemistry, operate and inspect equipment, and report major issues to the Gym Manager.

This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed. Prior pool maintenance or related experience is preferred, and a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in pool maintenance or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pool maintenance techniques, equipment, and chemicals.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations governing pool operations.
• Ability to operate pool maintenance equipment, such as vacuums, brushes, and chemical testing kits.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and address maintenance issues promptly.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Pool Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the pool is clean, safe, and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Chemical Management: Monitor and maintain appropriate chemical levels in the pool, including chlorine, pH balance, alkalinity, and other necessary chemicals.
• Equipment Inspection and Repair: Regularly inspect pool equipment, including pumps, filters, heaters, and other related systems, to identify any issues or malfunctions.
• Facility Maintenance: Assist with general maintenance tasks related to the pool area, such as cleaning and organizing pool deck furniture, maintaining poolside amenities, and ensuring cleanliness of surrounding areas.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure that all safety protocols and guidelines are followed, including the proper use of PPE, adherence to chemical handling procedures, and compliance with all local health and safety regulations.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of pool maintenance activities, including chemical tests, maintenance tasks performed, repairs made, and any incidents or accidents that occur.
• Customer Service: Interact professionally and courteously with gym members and guests, providing assistance and answering any questions or concerns related to pool maintenance or water quality.
